For nearly a decade, Gameday Hospitality’s Buffalo Red Zone Tailgate has been about much more than food, drinks and live entertainment. Since bringing our tailgate experience to Orchard Park in 2017, the Red Zone has become a gathering place for Bills Mafia, and along the way, some pretty recognizable faces have joined the party.
From Buffalo Bills legends and Sabres stars to television personalities, creators and some of the most recognizable Bills Fans, you never quite know who might show up at a Gameday Hospitality event.
Today, more than 1,800 fans regularly join us before Buffalo home games, and former Bills players continue to be a major part of the experience.
Here are some of the biggest names who have been part of Gameday Hospitality Buffalo over the years.
Andre Reed
Few names represent Buffalo football quite like Andre Reed.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver has become one of the most notable athletes to appear with Gameday Hospitality. Reed has joined Gameday events in Buffalo, on the road, and has even taken the experience internationally, hosting Gameday Hospitality’s Buffalo tailgate and pep rally during the team’s trip to London.
Having one of the greatest players in franchise history hanging out with fans before kickoff is exactly what the Buffalo Red Zone is all about — bringing fans closer to the personalities and traditions that make Buffalo football special.
Doug Flutie
Another unforgettable name to make an appearance at the Buffalo Red Zone is Doug Flutie.
One of the most recognizable quarterbacks of his generation and a fan favorite from his time in Buffalo, Flutie’s appearance brought another piece of Buffalo football history directly into the tailgate. Doug ended up drumming on stage at the tailgate with the Zach Gerken Band in the Snow! Gameday Hospitality lists Flutie among the notable past special guests who have appeared at the Buffalo Red Zone.
Rasmus Dahlin
The Red Zone isn’t only for football stars.
Rasmus Dahlin brought some Buffalo hockey star power to Gameday Hospitality when the Buffalo Sabres defenseman joined the list of special guests to appear at the Red Zone.
Having one of Buffalo’s biggest active professional athletes at a football tailgate perfectly represents what Gameday Buffalo has become: a celebration of the entire Buffalo sports community.
Stevie Johnson
Few former players connected with Bills Mafia quite like Stevie Johnson.
Known for his personality as much as his play on the field, Johnson is another Buffalo football favorite who has been part of the Gameday Hospitality experience. Gameday’s Buffalo guide highlights Johnson alongside Reed, Flutie and Dahlin among the celebrity guests who have appeared at the Red Zone.
Shawne Merriman
Shawne Merriman is another major NFL name who has made his way through the Buffalo Red Zone.
The three-time Pro Bowler and former Buffalo linebacker brought plenty of NFL star power to the party and is included among Gameday Hospitality Buffalo’s roster of past special guests.
Katie Feeney
Gameday Hospitality has also welcomed one of social media’s most recognizable young creators, Katie Feeney, to the Buffalo Red Zone.
Feeney has built a massive audience across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat, becoming known for her sports, lifestyle and behind-the-scenes content. Her work in sports has included coverage surrounding some of the biggest events and organizations in the country.
Feeney joined Gameday Hospitality and Bills Mafia at the Buffalo Red Zone, experiencing firsthand the atmosphere that has helped make Buffalo one of the most famous tailgating destinations in sports and showcasing it on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown show!
MTV’s The Challenge Personalities
The Buffalo Red Zone has even welcomed some familiar faces from reality television, including personalities from MTV’s long-running competition series The Challenge.
Mark Long, Tony Raines and Scott Yager have all been part of the Gameday Hospitality Buffalo experience, bringing The Challenge world together with Bills Mafia for gameday.
Long is one of the most recognizable veterans in the history of The Challenge franchise, while Raines became a fan favorite through appearances across MTV reality programming and multiple seasons of The Challenge. Yager has become closely associated with the franchise through his Challenge Mania podcast and live events.
Their appearances added another dimension to the Buffalo Red Zone guest list, giving fans the chance to meet personalities they know from television and entertainment while partying before a Bills game.
Brian Moorman
If you followed Buffalo football during the 2000s, you know exactly how popular Brian Moorman became with Bills fans.
The two-time Pro Bowler spent the overwhelming majority of his NFL career in Buffalo and became one of the franchise’s most recognizable special teams players. Moorman has also joined Bills Mafia at the Buffalo Red Zone as one of Gameday Hospitality’s featured alumni guests.
John Fina
Former Buffalo offensive lineman John Fina has also been part of the Red Zone experience.
Fina spent a decade protecting Buffalo quarterbacks and was part of the franchise during its legendary run of Super Bowl appearances in the 1990s. Years later, he joined fans at Gameday Hospitality Buffalo, continuing the connection between generations of Bills players and Bills Mafia.
George Wilson
Former Bills safety and team captain George Wilson is another familiar face who has joined the Gameday Hospitality family.
Wilson became a fan favorite during his years in Buffalo and has remained connected to Bills Mafia after his playing career. Boobie Dixon
Former Bills running back and special teams standout Anthony “Boobie” Dixon has also brought his unmistakable personality to the Buffalo Red Zone.

Barstool Sports’ Frank the Tank
One of the most recognizable personalities from Barstool Sports, Frank “The Tank” Fleming, has also brought his larger-than-life personality to the Gameday Hospitality Buffalo Red Zone.
Known for his passionate sports fandom, unforgettable reactions and viral content, Frank has become a fan favorite across Barstool’s platforms. His unmistakable personality made him a perfect fit for a Buffalo gameday, where passionate fans and an anything-can-happen tailgate atmosphere are part of the experience.
Frank joined Bills Mafia at the Buffalo Red Zone, taking in the pregame atmosphere and interacting with fans before kickoff. His appearance brought together two of the most passionate communities in sports entertainment — Barstool’s audience and Bills Mafia.
John Miller
Former Buffalo offensive lineman John Miller adds another NFL veteran to the long list of athletes who have visited the Buffalo Red Zone.
Miller, who began his NFL career in Buffalo, has appeared as a special guest at Gameday Hospitality Buffalo.
Matt Barnaby
Buffalo hockey has been represented by more than just the current generation.
Former Sabres forward Matt Barnaby, one of the most memorable personalities from his era of Buffalo hockey, has also appeared with Gameday Hospitality.
For Buffalo sports fans who remember the Sabres teams of the 1990s, Barnaby’s appearance brought a different kind of nostalgia to the Red Zone.
Eric Wood
Gameday Hospitality’s Buffalo experience doesn’t stop when the Bills leave Orchard Park.
Former Bills center Eric Wood has joined the Buffalo Red Zone on the Road, which takes the Bills Mafia tailgate experience to select away games around the country. Eric has countless appearances from Carolina to Seattle to Kansas City to Detroit and Beyond at our road tailgates!
Wood’s nine seasons in Buffalo and his reputation as one of the most respected players of his era make him another major name on the list of Gameday Hospitality alumni guests.

Over the years, the Buffalo Red Zone and Gameday’s traveling events have welcomed a wide range of personalities from sports media, entertainment, social media and Bills Mafia culture.

More Than a Tailgate
What started as a Buffalo pregame event has grown into something much bigger.
Today, the Buffalo Red Zone regularly welcomes more than 1,800 fans before home games, combining Buffalo food, drinks, live entertainment, VIP experiences, games, sponsor activations and appearances from former players and celebrity guests.
But some of our favorite moments have been the ones that can’t necessarily be scheduled: a Bills legend grabbing the microphone, a Sabres star stopping by, a celebrity jumping into the crowd, or a former player spending time taking photos and talking football with fans.
